Environmental impact assessment (Forestry) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999
The preparation of an Environmental Statement in connection with an application for consent under the Environmental Impact Assessment (Forestry) (England and Wales) Regulations
1999, to carry out deforestation at Blackdown Hill, near Portesham, Dorset, was advertised in this newspaper on Wednesday 24th August 2011, in accordance with Paragraph 13 of these
Regulations.
The Forestry Commission have now considered the application and the information provided in the Environmental Statement and have decided to give consent for the proposals, subject to the following
conditions:
a) Operations must commence within five years of the issue date of this consent.
b) No works shall be carried out after the fifth anniversary of the issue of this consent.
If you would like to appeal against the granting of this consent, you must make an application to the High Court (England and Wales) with a copy to The Regional Director, South West England Region,
The Castle, Mamhead, Exeter, Devon, EX6 8HD., within 6 weeks from Wednesday 19th October 2011 the date that we published our decision.
