Statutory Notice regarding Admissions Number for St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Devizes, Wiltshire

The Governing Body, as Admission Authority, of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Devizes have determined an Admissions Number of 30 from 2010 onwards.

The following should be noted: The Current Admission Number is 32 for each age group admitted prior to September 2010 and 30 for each age group admitted after September 2010.

The Indicated Admission Limit proposed by Wiltshire County Council for 2010 onwards is 34, based on a recent net capacity assessment. The Governors have reduced the Admission Number to 30 from September 2010 onwards.

The reason for reducing the Admission Number is to enable KS1 classes to be taught in distinct year groups whilst complying with the statutory infant class size limit of 30.

Parents living in the denominational catchment area have the opportunity to refer an objection to the Schools Adjudicator (3rd Floor, Vincent House, 2 Woodland Road, Darlington, DL3 7PJ) within 6 weeks of publication of this notice.
