NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL FOOTPATHS 65 & 66 SWINDON ORDER 2016
The above order, made on 16 March 2016 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath in the unparished area of Swindon, running from OS grid reference SU14508 84387, on the former canal towpath, 14 metres ENE of Cambria Bridge, to OS grid reference SU14498 84384 against the bridge abutment 2.5 metres below the level of Cambria Bridge Road, on to a line running from OS grid reference SU14508 84387 on the former canal towpath, 14 metres ENE of Cambria Bridge, to OS grid reference SU14491 84375, passing beneath Cambria Bridge; and the public footpath running from OS grid reference SU14720 84531, on the former canal towpath, 10 metres SW of Commercial Road Bridge, to OS grid reference SU14725 84536 against the bridge abutment 2.5 metres below the level of Milton Road, and from OS grid reference SU14735 84544 against the bridge abutment 2.5 metres below the level of Milton Road, to OS grid reference SU14743 84552 on the former canal towpath, 10 metres NE of Commercial Road Bridge, on to a line running from OS grid reference SU14720 84531, on the former canal towpath, 10 metres SW of Commercial Road Bridge, passing beneath Commercial Road to OS grid reference SU14743 84552 on the former canal towpath, 10 metres NE of Commercial Road Bridge.
Copies of the order and the order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Beckhampton Street, Swindon from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £15.00.
Any representations about, or objections to, the order may be sent in writing, to the Rights of Way Officer, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler House West, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH, not later than 21 April 2016. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any made are withdrawn, Swindon Borough Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
