Notice effective from
26th January 2012, 14:51 to 25th February 2012, 14:51

THE HART DISTRICT COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (OLD SCHOOL ROAD, HOOK)
Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:
Effect of Order:
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along that length of Old School Road from its junction with A30 London Road for approximately 100 metres, as indicated by traffic signs. The closure and speed limit restriction are necessary on safety grounds to allow for BT Openreach cabling works. This Order may be cited as β€œThe Hart District Council (Temporary Road Closure) (Old School Road, Hook) Order 2012”.
Duration of Closure:
From 15th February 2012 for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days). The closure will be continuously enforced during the period specified. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
Alternative Route:
From the southern point of closure via A30 London Road, Newnham Road and Old School Road to northern point of closure and vice versa, as indicated by traffic signs.
If you have any queries regarding the above please contact Aplant Lux Traffic Control & Management on 0870 050 0792.
