PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION

As you may be ware the area known as Curtis Fields, between Chickerell Road & Lanehouse Rocks Road has been identified by West Dorset and Weymouth & Portland Council’s in the Draft Local Plan as a potential site for residential development to provide affordable and sustainable housing for the residents of Weymouth & Portland.

Betterment Properties (Weymouth) Limited, who own the land, are keen to develop proposals for this site which have a positive impact on the local community and provide much needed housing and give environmental and recreational benefits.

As part of this process a consultation event was held recently to give local residents the opportunity to provide comments and suggestions to refine proposals. The event was incredibly well attended, with over 300 residents visiting the two day exhibition and making many informative contributions. Following this very successful event, betterment have now launched:

This site contains all of the information displayed at the consultation event, and will be used in the future to display updates, development refinements and provide an additional portal for comments on the scheme.
