ROADS IN UPTON AND LYTCHETT MINSTER
FOR UPTON AND LYTCHETT MINSTER
BEACON CARNIVAL, 14TH JULY 2012 :

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH ROAD
WAITING OR LOADING AND UNLOADING
For the purpose of a Beacon Carnival, DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has issued an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation [Special Events] Act 1994 to prohibit the use of Sea
View Road, Sandy Lane and Moorland Way, Upton, and Dorchester Road, Upton and Dorchester Road and western part of Old Watery Lane, Lytchett Minster, by cyclists, horse riders and all mechanically
propelled vehicles, except those taking part in the event.
On 14th July 2012 between 14.00 hrs and 15.00 hrs Diverted traffic will be advised to use the A35 Upton Bypass.
Stewards, will be stationed at strategic points to ensure only those taking part in the Event have access.

Any Person who uses or permits the use of the above roads in contravention of the notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £400.
