Term Service Contract for Servicing Repair and Maintenance of Gas Installations in Housing Properties

Expressions of interest are invited from experienced contractors who have a proven track record of providing high quality gas installation repairs in occupied properties, particularly in the social housing sector.

Housing Management wish to appoint one contractor to deliver this service to approximately 15,300 properties.

Providers will be expected to work closely, and co-operate with, our existing partners who are providing building repairs.

The purpose of the response repairs service is to do the right repair at the right time.

The service will consist of the following

• Fulfil the Landlords obligations as required by the Gas Safety [Installation and Use] Regulations.

• Maintain, service, repair and refurbish the gas installations and appliances in occupied and empty properties.

• Maintain, service, repair and refurbish the commercial gas installations [installations of more than 70kW output]

The initial contract period will be for 3 years, commencing April 2013, with the option to extend to a maximum of a further 6 years.

The estimated value of the contract is between £4,000,000 and £4,500,000 per year.
