THE MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009 AND THE MARINE WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2007 (as amended)
Notice is hereby given that ABP Southampton, of OCEAN GATE, ATLANTIC WAY, EASTERN DOCKS, SOUTHAMPTON, SO14 3QN has applied to the Marine Management Organisation to undertake a regulated activity
under Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
The application is to undertake capital dredging at Marchwood (opposite Mayflower Cruise Terminal and part of the Southampton approach channel) and disposal of dredged material. A copy of the
application and environmental statement, or as the case may be, supplementary information is available for inspection during normal office hours for free at Southampton Civic Centre Library or at
ABP Offices for a period of 42 days from the date of the first notice (6th September).
Copies of the environmental statement may also be inspected free of charge and by prior appointment at the offices of the Marine Management Organisation, Newcastle upon Tyne or may be viewed on
line in the Public Register at www.marinemanagement.org.uk/publicregister.
Representations or objections in respect of the application should be made in writing, giving an address to which correspondence relating to the representation or objection may be sent, to the
Marine Management Organisation, Marine Environment Team, PO Box 1275, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 5BN, or alternatively emailed to dee.allen@marinemanagement.org.uk, within 42 days of the date of date of the first notice, quoting reference MLA/2012/00338.
The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation we receive.
