Statutory Proposal for The Governing Body of Elmrise Primary School to become a Foundation School, and join The North Bournemouth Learning and Achievement Trust.
Notice is given in accordance with the section 19(3) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the Governing Body of Elmrise Primary School intends to make prescribed alterations to Elmrise Primary School which is a community school located at Holloway Avenue, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH11 9JN.
The proposed alterations are to change category from community to foundation and to acquire a Foundation established otherwise than under the School Standards and Framework Act of 1998.
Rationale
This change for Elmrise Primary School will make a positive contribution to the continued improvement in the educational provision for all pupils. It will develop new partnerships and strengthen those already in existence; helping to raise aspirations for pupils at the school. It will enhance the curriculum offer available to children, through an extended 0-19 partnership across the Trust. The Trust will become central to Elmrise's commitment to community cohesion and life long learning.
Proposed name of the Trust
The Proposed name of the Trust is The North Bournemouth Learning and Achievement Trust. The trust already acts for Oakmead College of Technology.
