HACKNEY CARRIAGE - MAXIMUM FARES & CHARGES APRIL 2013

The Bournemouth Borough Council has approved variations of the Table of Fares for Hackney Carriages. The Table will be varied as follows:
Tariff 1: Day Rate (approximate charge) 0630 hrs to9 midnight £4.12 for the first mile £2.15 per mile thereafter
Tariff 2: Unsocial Hours (approximate charge) (approximate charge) Hours between midnight and 0630 hrs daily and all Bank/Public Holidays £5.49 for the first mile £2.87 per mile thereafter.
Tariff 3: Christmas and New Year (approximate charge)
i) Between 1830 hrs on 24th December and 0630 hrs on 27th December £6.18 for the first mile

ii) Between 1830 hrs on 31st December and 0630 hrs on 2nd January £3.23 per mile thereafter

3) EXTRA CHARGES

a) For each one or two items of luggage or each animal carried (excluding small amounts of hand luggage or carrier bags). TARIFF 1 20p TARIFFS 2 & 3 25p

b) For each person in addition the hirer, (for charging purposes only two children under the age of ten being counted as one person, children under three no charge). TARIFF 1 10p TARIFFS 2 & 3 25P

c) For 5 or more persons carried in a multi-seater vehicle TARIFF 1 £1.00 TARIFF 2 & 3 £1.25

d) For each pre-arranged hiring - booking fee. TARIFF 1 80p TARIFF 2 & 3 £1.00

e) Soiling the carriage by person or animal £50

 NOTE: Wheelchairs and similar mechanically operated personal conveyances and assistance dogs. NO CHARGE

Any objections to the proposed fares and charges must be made in writing and sent to Head of Environmental Health and Consumer Services, Town Hall, St Stephens Road, Bournemouth BH2 6LL quoting this reference T&PH/SGW within 14 days of publication of this notice. The fares as varied will become operative on or after the 1st April 2013 unless objections are submitted.
