ADOPTION OF SECTIONS 14 - 17 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1982
Notice is hereby given that, on 20th February 2013, the County Council of Durham resolved that the provisions contained in Sections 14, 15, 16 and 17 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 shall apply within the area of County Durham. These provisions will come into effect 14th May 2013, and apply to premises and persons carrying out acupuncture, tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing and electrolysis. The provisions give power to Durham County Council to regulate acupuncture, tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing and electrolysis by requiring registration and observance of byelaws.
