The London Borough Of Barking And Dagenham (Hurstbourne Gardens, Barking) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023
Notice Of Intent
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate works for a new gas connection, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Friday 24 February 2023. The works expected for:
* Gas connection works to take 5 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Tuesday 28 February 2023 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -
* Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Hurstbourne Gardens, both sides, from a point 20 metres north-west of its junction with Salisbury Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in a north-westerly direction.
* Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Hurstbourne Gardens, both sides, from its junction with Salisbury Avenue for a distance of 20 metres in a north-westerly direction.
* Prohibit all vehicular traffic (Except for Access) on Hurstbourne Gardens, both sides, from its junction with Levett Road for a distance of 220 metres in a south-easterly direction.
4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:
* Via Salisbury Avenue, Shirley Gardens, Levett Road, and Vice Versa.
