(Torburn Avenue, Clifton Road & Orchard Grove, Giffnock) Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2023

On the 18 January 2023 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984.The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access on a section of Torburn Avenue (between its junction with Burnfield Road up to property no. 29), as well vehicular access restricted on Clifton Road and Orchard Grove, Giffnock, in order to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway resurfacing works within or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Monday 20 February until Friday 3 March 2023. The closure will only be in force between the Contractor's working hours of 0900 and 1600 and there will be no week-end working.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes: Burnfield Road -
Fenwick Road - Dalmeny Avenue -Wellfield Avenue and vice versa, or Burnfield Road - Fenwick Road - Orchard
Drive - Ravencliffe Drive and vice versa
