Notice Of Public Path Order Town And Country Planning Act 1990, Section 257 And Paragraph 1 Of Schedule 14 (Footpaths Bw 22/19 And Bw 22/21(In Part) In The Parish Of Nether Stowey) Public Path Diversion Order 2023

The above order was made on the 23rd January 2023 under section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act, 1990. The effect of the order will be to divert part of of footpath BW 22/21 in the parish of Nether Stowey at Cricketer Farm starting from point A at Nat Grid Map Ref 319514, 139636 where it connects to the A39 highway and running in a generally northerly direction, then a north north easterly direction for a distance of 129 metres to point B (Grid Ref 319538, 139761) where it connects to Footpath BW 22/19. Then continuing in a north north easterly direction for a distance of 33 metres to point C (Grid Ref 319553, 139789), then in an easterly direction for a distance of 99 metres to point D (Grid Ref 319654, 139785) and finally in a north north easterly direction for a distance of 11 metres to point E (Grid Ref 319658, 139795. Part of footpath BW 22/19 in the parish of Nether Stowey at Cricketer Farm from point F (Nat Grid Map Ref 319470,139764) where it connects to Footpath BW 22/18 and running in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 64 metres to the aforementioned point B and create an alternative footpath instead to a line running from Footpath BW 22/21 from point G where it connects to the A39 highway at Nat Grid Map Ref and running in a north north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres to point H (GR 319578, 139673) then continuing in a generally easterly direction and arcing to a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres to point J (GR 319646,139698) then continuing in a northerly direction for 37 metres and then an easterly direction for 10 metres to point K (GR 319659,139735). And finally, in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approximately 60 metres to the aforementioned point E where it continues unaffected. Footpath BW 22/19 from the aforementioned point F and running in a generally northerly direction along a curving path for a distance of approximately 67 metres to point L (GR 319485,139824) then in a generally west south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 81 metres to point M (GR 319564, 139811) and finally in a generally west south westerly direction on a curving path for a distance of approximately 102 metres to the aforementioned point E. The width of the path will be a minimum of 2 metres.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, from 8.45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies may also be seen by contacting the Clerk of Nether Stowey Parish Council. Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to, Assistant Director, Finance & Property, Sedgemoor District Council, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR not later than the 1st March 2023. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Sedgemoor District Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
