Berry Close, Temporary Closure

Temporary Closure of Berry Close and Bowerings Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Berry Close - from the junction with Bowerings Road northwards, for a total distance of 49 metres; and Bowerings Road - from the junction with Berry Close westwards, for a total distance of 26 metres. This Order will enable Jurassic Fibre to carry out duct laying works.
The Order becomes effective on 31st January 2023 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 6th February 2023 and last until 10th February 2023 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
