Section 14 - The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice Of Traffic Orders For Temporary Road And Footpath Closures/Restrictions

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to
make the following temporary orders:

(STR000547 M4 Overbridge, Wroughton)

This Order is being
introduced for National Highways Safety Scheme and will
impose a closure of the footway, the carriageway reduced to
one lane and a 30mph speed restriction on the Croft Road
between Woodland View and B4006 Junctions.
The Order comes into the force on the 18 February 2023 for
18 months.

(STR000144, Wanborough Footpaths)

This Order was made on the 27 July 2022 for highway improvement works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following footpaths:
PROW footpath WA8 to be closed between PROW footpath WA7 and The Marsh - no alternative route available PROW footpath WA22 to be closed between PROW footpath WA8 and the A419 - no alternative route available. PROW footpath WA24 to be closed between PROW footpath WA43 and The Marsh - no alternative route available. PROW footpath WA25 to be closed between PROW footpath WA23 and Wanborough Road - pedestrians to be diverted via PROW footpath WA23, Wanborough Road and PROW WA35 The Order came into force on the 1 August 2022 for 6 months but to allow completion of works, the Secretary of State has given approval for the closures to remain in force until the
31 July 2023.

(STR000234 Fpaths 10 and 35 Wroughton)

This Order was made on the l8 August 2022 to allow construction works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along section of PROW footpath 10 from the canal towpath and South Leaze Track and PROW footpath 35 from north of the South Leaze track to the junction with Scott Way, Wichelstowe. Pedestrians to be diverted via the canal towpath, footways on Peglars Way and Scott Way.

The Order came into force on the 25 August 2021 for 6 months until the 25 August 2022 but to allow for the continuation of works, the Department of Transport approved for the Order to be extended for a further 6 months until the 24 August 2023 Strategic Transport 27 January 2023
