(Footpath 3, Sturmer) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 3, Sturmer in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Footpath 1, Sturmer, along the riverbank in a southeasterly direction for approximately two hundred metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 30 January 2023 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting and is required for the safety of the public, this is due to a riverside section of footpath having an area of erosion that has significantly reduced the available footpath width, and a closure is required until repairs can be made or an alternative permanent solution is found.
The alternative route will be via Sturmer Footpath 1 and the old railway line which is now a parish promoted route and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 30 January 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coggeshall Road, Feering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Feering in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 95m south west of its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th February 2023 for 5 nights (22:00-05:00) and again from 6th March 2023 for 3 nights (22:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL721LTN1-42-79-200223/KL721LTN1-42-79-060323 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge repair works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd. An alternative route is available via Coggeshall Road, London Road, New Lane, Hanover Bridge, Hanover Square, The Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd February 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Notley Cross, Great Notley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Notley Cross, Great Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Great Notley Roundabout to the B1256 a distance of approximately 185m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th February 2023 for 2 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (FN40632315457 - National Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting and planting works are undertaken by National Highways.
An alternative route is available via Garden Village Way Roundabout Springwood Link, Garden Village Way, Panners Roundabout, A120 J A131/B1256 Leave E, Pods Brook Road, Braintree Bypass, A120 J A131/B1256 Join E, A120 Through J A131/B1256 E, A120 From J A131/B1256 To J B1053 E, A120 J B1053 Join E, A120 From J B1053 To J B1018 E,
A120 J B1018 Roundabout, Galley Roundabout, Long Green, A120 From J B1018 To J

The Order will come into effect on 2nd February 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cressing Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Cressing Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Cross Road to its junction with Conrad Road a distance of approximately 470m.
2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above length of road.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 20th February 2023 for 5 nights (19:00-06:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2285801 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while zebra crossing installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Cressing Road, Witham Road, Temple Lane, Braintree Road, Cressing Road Roundabout, Millennium Way, Galley Roundabout, A120 J B1018 Roundabout, Braintree Bypass, Long Green, Ashes Road, Lanham Green Road, Lanham Green, Boars Tye Road, Sheepcotes Lane, Western Road, Park Road, Church Road, Rickstones Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 19th January 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Queenborough Lane, Rayne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queenborough Lane, Rayne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 28m east of its junction with Gore Road for a distance of approximately 125m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th February 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03160951831/1 - Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Gore Road, The Street, Rayne Road, Springwood Roundabout, Springwood Drive, Pods Brook Road, Panners Roundabout, Braintree Bypass, Garden Village Way, Garden Village Way Roundabout Springwood Link, Notley Cross, Garden Village Way Roundabout At Business Park, Business Park Link, Business Park Road Roundabout, Avenue East and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 19th January 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
