Clodock to Oaklea, Temporary Road Closure

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, Intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1218 From Clodock To Oaklea, Longtown, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1218 From Clodock To Oaklea, Longtown, 20 metres either side of Clodock Bridge. Grid Ref: 332687/227435. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal Is via the C1218 onto the C1205, onto Old Castle to Longtown, onto Llanflhangel Crucorney to Oldcastle, onto Walterstone, onto the C1219, onto the C1218 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to parapet wall rebuilding works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 20th of February 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 17 days.
