Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C414 (Part), Purton; from its junction with Play Close for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to excavate a jointbay in the footway for a new electricity connection and associated works. Alternative route via C414 (unaffected length) - B4553 - B4040 - B4696 - B4042 -C414 (unaffected length) and vice versa. B) Chelworth Road, Cricklade; from its junction with C70 its junction with The Fiddle to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out excavations to install new electricity supply and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 23 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) Calstone Wellington (Part), Calne Without; from its junction with Blacklands to outside property known as Cart Horse Cottage, Calstone Wellington to enable Wessex Water to carry out the connection of new services and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 30 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 10 February 2023. F) C126 (Part), Purton; from outside its property known as Diana Cottage, Purton for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to remove barrier panels and tamp through the entire area of the level crossing and associated works. Alternative route via C126 (unaffected length) - C414 - B4553 - C126 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 for 2 nights. G) C6 (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Stone Lane for a distance of approximately 1.7km in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. This Order will come into operation on 30 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 5 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The Order, which previously came into operation on 14 November 2023 will now recommence on 02 February 2023. is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt dressing and associated maintenance works. The Order has a maximum duration period of 18 months. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. Closures 1 and 2 are anticipated to take place between 02 February 2023 and 05 February 2023. Wiltshire) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways And On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2018 Experimental Order (No.1) 2023
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Experimental Order on 18 January 2023 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and during that time consideration will be given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect of the Experimental Order will be as follows: 1) The County of Wiltshire (Parishes of North Wiltshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2018 will be amended by the suspension of Map Schedule Nos. CE24, CF24, CF25, CG24, CJ23 and CK23 dated 29/01/2018 and the insertion of new Map Schedule Nos. CE24, CF24, CF25, CG24, CJ23 and CK23 dated 06/02/2023 for the duration of the Experimental Order. 2) The effect of the Order will be as follows: a) To extend No Waiting at any time on C151 The Street, Castle Combe - east side - from a point 65 metres south of its junction with School Lane for a distance of 23 metres in a southerly direction; C151 The Street, Castle Combe - south east side - from a point 35 metres north east of the access to property known as The Upper Manor for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction; C151 The Street, Castle Combe - north west side - from a point 28 metres north of its junction with West Street for a distance of 3 metres in a southerly direction b) To remove No Waiting 11am - 7pm and replace with No Waiting at any time on Dunns Lane, Castle Combe - both sides - from a point 20 metres north of its junction with The Street in a north easterly direction to its junction with B4039; C151 The Street, Castle Combe - both sides - i) from a point 18 metres east of its junction with Dunns Lane in an easterly direction to its junction B4039 ii) from its junction with C151 Castle Combe Road to a point 33 metres north east of that junction; C151 Castle Combe Road, Castle Combe - both sides - from its junction with C151 The Street to a point 36 metres south east of that junction; C160, Castle Combe - both sides - from its junction with C151 The Street to a point 37 metres north west of that junction. Wiltshire Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Objections to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation should be made by post to reach the Traffic Order Team, Sustainable Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN allowing 7 days, by email to TrafficOrderConsultations@wiltshire. gov.uk or using the response form on the website at https://www. wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations to reach the Sustainable Transport Group stating the grounds on which they are made (quoting reference LJB/TRO/CCOMexp1): a) within a period of six months beginning with the day on which the Experimental Order came into force; or b) if that Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a period of six months beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Any person aggrieved by the Experimental Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 6 February 2023.
