Temporary Closure of Braeside Road, St Leonards and St Ives
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Braeside Road, St Leonards and St Ives between Oaks Drive and Lions Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 210 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which
require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 27 February 2023 with the closure in place 24hrs a day and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 March 2023. This Order will enable SGN, safe access to decommission and replace the gas main. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Lions Lane - Woolsbridge Road - Laurel Lane.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Closure Of Public Bridleway E54/41, Verwood
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All pedestrians, cylcists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway E54/41, between grid reference SU 1010807605 and grid reference SU 1013807513, a distance of approximately 110 metres.
The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 16 February 2023 for a period of 26 weeks initially and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order is required to allow Dorset Council to carry out a complete replacement of the bridge on the route which has failed.
An alternative route will be put in place to enable travel around the closed section, however this is deemed suitable for pedestrian use only; there is no suitable alternative route for equestrian and cyclists use.
