The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (East) (No. 01) Order 2023" authorising the stopping up of an area of highway adjacent to 2 Wittem Road at Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, to enable development as permitted by Castle Point Borough Council, under reference 19/0889/FUL. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or

(quoting NATTRAN/E/S247/4196). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Castle Point Borough Council, Planning Department, Kiln Road, Thundersely, Benfleet, Essex SS7 1TF. Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 20 January 2023. D Hoggins, Casework Manager
