14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, South Parade Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 23 January 2023 Coming into force: 31 January 2023 This Order is being introduced because of sewer repairs relating to possible flooding which are anticipated to be completed 13 February 2023. This includes suspension of one-way traffic, between Banbury Road and Stratfield Road to enable private access to property. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of South Parade east of Stratfield Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Middle Way, Rogers Street, Banbury Road and vice versa. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2004 (as amended) is temporarily suspended for the duration of the Works. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T11150/AC)
