Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Bradford Road (Part), Winsley; from its junction with C391 to outside property known as Huntsman Cottage, Winsley to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation work to connect Gigaclear network to Openreach network and associated works. Alternative route via C391 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 22 February 2023. C) C245 (Part), Erlestoke; for a distance of approximately 30m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge examination and associated works. Alternative route via C245 (unaffected length) - C228 -B3098 - C245 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. D) C232 (Part), West Ashton; from outside its property known as Brickells Lodge, West Ashton to outside property known as No.01 East Town Cottages, West Ashton to enable Openreach to carry out fibre and associated works. Alternative route C232 (unaffected length) - C49 - A350 - C19 - C232 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. E) B3107 (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Mill Lane to its roundabout junction with B3109 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway retexturing and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 24 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 22:00 until 30 January 2023. F) B3106 (Part), Holt; from its junction with B3107 to its junction with B3105 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via B3105 -B3107 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 until 30 January 2023. G) A350 Western Way (Part), Melksham and Melksham Without; from its roundabout junction with B3107 to its roundabout junction with C395 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out retexturing of the carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via A350 (unaffected length) - A365 - C382 - C502 - A3102 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 January 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 until 31 January 2023. H) C157 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C150 for a distance of approximately 350m in north easterly direction to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out location and rectify blockage to telecoms ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C150 - C163 - road past Sparrows Barton to C157 - C157 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Orders A) to H) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


Section 16(A) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A3102 (Part), Melksham; from its junction with Ruskin Avenue to its junction with Blackmore Road. Alternative route via A3102 (unaffected length) - C502 - C382 - A365 - A350 - A3102 (unaffected legnth) and vice versa. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Wiltshire 10 Running Race to take place. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 12 February 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:55 and 10:10 for 1 day with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the race, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. Notice is hereby given that on 11 January 2023 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wilts (Restricted Roads) (No.1) Order 1969 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Baynton Way, Berry Road, Charlton Hill, Downsview, Greater Lane, Greatwoods, Inmead, Little Court Lane, Longlands Close, The City and The Weir - the complete lengths; Court Lane - from its junction with Baynton Way to a point approximately 32 metres north of its junction with Little Court Lane; Long Hollow - from its junction with Salisbury Hollow for a distance of approximately 300 metres in a southerly direction; Lower Road - from its junction with Monastery Road to a point approximately 122 metres west of its junction with Greater Lane; Monastery Road - from its junction with B3098 to a point approximately 72 metres north of its junction with The Weir; Salisbury Hollow - from its junction with Long Hollow for a distance of approximately 152 metres in an easterly direction; Tinhead Road - from its junction with B3098 to a point approximately 82 metres south of its junction with Cowleaze Lane. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 23 January 2023.


Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (Alfred Street, Bitham Mill And Gibbs Close, Westbury) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Alfred Street, Bitham Mill and Gibbs Close, Westbury - the complete lengths. Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
