Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1278 From Br224 To East Dean Hill, Lea Bailey, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1278 From Br224 To East Dean Hill, Lea Bailey, from the B4224 to East Dean Hill. Grid Ref: 365546 / 221109. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4224 onto the A40 onto the C1277 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to rural fibre installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 20th of February 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
