Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order
Town and Country Planning Act 1990

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2022

On the 4th January 2023 Somerset West and Taunton Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the following length of public footpaths numbered WL28/28 (part) and WL28/21 (part) in the parish of Watchet as shown on the Order map.
The length of footpath number WL28/20 to be diverted extends to 260 metres. The length of the footpath number WL28/21 to be diverted extends to 126 metres and 72 metres. The new lengths of footpath will have a width of 2 metres.

A copy of the Order can be obtained for a fee of £10 from the reception desk at Somerset West and Taunton Council, The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton TA1 1HE.
This Order comes into force on the date on which Somerset West and Taunton Council certify that the public footpath described in the Schedule of the Order has been set out to their satisfaction, but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is first published as required by Paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 of that Act.
