London Borough Of Merton Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)
(The Broadway, SW19) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate a crane operation at No. 247 The Broadway, SW19; they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in The Broadway, between its junction with Trinity Road and its junction with Latimer Road;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above;

(c) enter or proceed in the footway on the south side of The Broadway, from a point 9 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 235 and 241 The Broadway eastward for a distance of 55 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed via the footway opposite.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed:-

(a) westbound via Kingston Road, Approach Road, Raynes Park Bridge, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road, Worple Road, Francis Grove, St George's Road, Wimbledon Bridge Road and The Broadway;

(b) eastbound via Merton High Street, Haydons Road, Queen's Road and The Broadway, or via Gladstone Road, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road, Kingston Road and Merton Road.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions in any emergency; or

(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to the properties adjacent the work site.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into operation on Sunday 29th January 2023 will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months. Works are anticipated to be carried out on Sunday 29th January 2023, with back-up dates of Sunday 5th February 2023 and Sunday 12th February 2023.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)
(West Barnes Lane, Kt3)
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) (No. 1) Order 2023

1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate lifting and inspection works at the Motspur Park Level Crossing on West Barnes Lane, KT3, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. Whilst the works take place no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane between a point 20 metres south-west of the Motspur Park level crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of that level crossing;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in the road or length of road specified in sub­paragraph (a) above;

(c) enter or proceed on foot in the road or length of road specified in sub­paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. An alternative route for:-

(a) diverted vehicular traffic will be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa;

(b) pedestrians will be via the adjacent footbridge.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) so as to prevent pedestrian or vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

7. The Order will come into operation at 12.05am on Tuesday 31st January 2023 and remain in force until 5am on 3rd February 2023. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight between 12.05am and 5am whilst the Order is in force.

(Keswick Avenue, Sw19)
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate ducting works in Keswick Avenue, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Keswick Avenue.

2. During the worksi­te) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Keswick

Avenue, from the common boundary of Nos. 52 and 54 Keswick Avenue northward for a distance of 25 metres; or (b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Erridge Road, Stratton Road and Kenley Road or vice-versa.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation at 8am on Thursday 26th January 2023 with the works anticipated to be completed at 4pm on Friday 27th January 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(Church Place And Love Lane, Cr4)
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning works in Church Place and Love Lane, CR4, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in:-

(i) Church Place,

(ii) Love Lane, between its junction with Church Place and its junction with Frimley Gardens; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works in the said roads or lengths of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Church Road, Miles Road and Frimley Gardens or vice-versa.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order will come into force at on Friday 27th January 2023 and it is expected that the works will be carried out that day. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

(Raynes Park Bridge And Various Roads, Raynes Park)
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway and footway improvement works at the junction of Raynes Park Bridge with Coombe Lane and Pepys Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-

(i) Raynes Park Bridge, between its junction with Coombe Lane and its junction with Approach Road; or

(ii) the lengths of Coombe Lane and Pepys Road south of the island site at their junction with Raynes Park Bridge;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in :-

(i) the length of Raynes Park Bridge specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;

(ii) Coombe Lane, from its junction with Pepys Road to a point 30 metres west of the western kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge;

(iii) Pepys Road, from its junction with Coombe Lane to a point 25 metres north-east of the eastern kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge; or

(c) enter or proceed on foot in the length of the southern footway of Coombe Lane from the western kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge westward for a distance of 25 metres.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed:-

(a) northbound by way of Approach Road, Kingston Road(A238), Bushey Road(A298), Beverley Way(A3) southbound, Shannon Corner, Beverley Way/Kingston Bypass(A3) northbound, Robin Hood Way, Coombe Lane West(A238), Coombe Lane Flyover and Coombe Lane; or

(b) southbound by way of Coombe Lane(A238), Beverley Way/Kingston Bypass(A3), Bushey Road(A298), Kingston Road(A238) and Approach Road.

5. Pedestrian traffic affected by the road and footway closures should proceed using the footways opposite as directed.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 13th February 2023 with the works anticipated to be completed by Friday 3rd March 2023. However, the Order would remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (As Amended)
London Borough Of Merton (Weir Road, Wimbledon) Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023
Street Cleaning And Line Marking

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to enable street cleaning and line marking works to be undertaken in Weir Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to restrict parking In Weir Road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any unauthorised vehicle to wait, including for the purposed of loading or unloading any vehicle, in any length of Weir Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified In paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as Indicated by the placing of prescribed signs.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(b) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come in operation on Sunday 22nd January 2023 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out on 22nd and 29th January 2023. On Sunday 22nd January 2023 works will be carried out on the west side of Weir Road on a rolling basis with parking permitted on the east side of Weir Road. On Sunday 29th January 2023 works will be carried out on the east side of Weir Road on a rolling basis with parking permitted on the west side of Weir Road. The Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 18 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that time should further works be required.

Murray Road, Sw19
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate construction and development works at No. 65 Murray Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, Including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Murray Road, the south-west side, from a point 8.7 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 63 and 65 Murray Road north-westward for a distance of 6.8 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works to facilitate a skip.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes in any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Saturday 11 February 2023 and would remain in force for 6 months.
