The County Of Cumbria (C5087 Lupton) (Temporary Prohibition Of All Traffic) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out highway works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the C5087 Lupton, from a point approx. 400m southeast of its junction with Jubilee Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance approx. 300m.
A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C5087, Gallowber Lane and the A65.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and

2. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or via the Cumbria County Council website. The reference to quote is TTRO/2650.

The Order will come into operation on 6 February 2023 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 week between 0800 and 1600 hours each day, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
