The M53 Motorway (Junction 1 Northbound Carriageway) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M53

Motorway, in the Borough of Wirral, in the County of Merseyside, to enable safety barrier replacement works; to be carried out in safety. The Order will impose a width restriction of 3.25 metres (10 feet 8 inches) in lane 1, and a width restriction of 2.50 metres (8 feet 2 inches) in lane 2, as indicated by traffic signs, on the M53 northbound carriageway, from a point 1000 metres north of Fender Lane overbridge, to a point 1850 metres north of Fender Lane overbridge. The restrictions are expected to take place during a continuous period starting at 21:00 on Monday 27 February 2023 and ending at 06:00 on Tuesday 21 March 2023.

However, works may start and continue during subsequent continuous periods until completed. The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
