The Council of The London Borough of Redbridge The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. 1) Order 2023


The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge on 18th January 2023 made the above-mentioned Order, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Greater London Council Act 1974 and Sections 6,45,46,49 and 121Aand 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to:

1. Install double yellow lines in Elmcroft Avenue E11 at the junctions to both accesses for the garages at the rear of Carlton Terrace; in Forest Close E11 at the side of no. 54 Hollybush Hill; at the Arrowsmith Close IG7 and Arrowsmith Road junction; in Empress Avenue IG8, at its junction with Woodford New Road, at the Crescent Road E18and Maybank Road junction; in Durham Avenue IG8 across the access to the field located adjacent 15 to 26 Barnes Court;

2. Install double yellow lines with double yellow kerb blips in Woodford New Road IG8, at its junction with Empress Avenue; in The Broadway IG8 outside and opposite nos. 1 to 4;

3. Install single yellow lines operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm in Primrose Road E18, outside no. 25;

4. Convert single yellow lines to resident permit holders parking operating Monday to Friday, 11am to 12pm in Chaucer Road E11 adjacent no. 62 Chaucer;

5. Convert existing business permit holders only at the side of no. 7 Ashford Road in Beechcroft Road E18 to permit holders only operating Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm;

6. Revoke existing single yellow lines at the Woodford New Road IG8 and Empress Avenue junction;

7. Revoke existing single yellow lines with single yellow kerb blips in Woodford New Road IG8 at the side of no. 71 Empress Avenue;

8. Revoke existing section of permit parking area in Forest Close E11, at the side of no. 54 Hollybush Hill;

9. Make the following admin-based changes to amend the traffic order so that it accurately reflects restrictions on site; install double yellow lines in Hermon Hill E18, outside Nos. 118,120 and 122;

10. Convert single yellow lines to double yellow lines in The Broadway IG8 outside nos. 1 to 6 and opposite no. 1 to its junction with Station Road Approach;

11. Convert single yellow lines to pay by phone bays operating 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday with a maximum stay of 3 hours and no return within 1 hour in Woodbine Place E11 at the side of Wanstead Library, outside no. 25 Woodbine Place and opposite Wanstead Library to opposite no. 25 Woodbine Place, in Grosvenor Road E11 outside the Wanstead United Reformed Church;

12. Extend double yellow lines, revoking underlying permit parking in Gaynes Hill Road IG8 outside no. 50; the parking area of Little Holt E11 (off of Hermon Hill) outside Little Holt;

13. Install shared use BLA Permit Holders Parking or Pay By Phone Parking operating Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm Monkhams Lane IG8 between High Road Woodford Green and The Green (southeast side only);

A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 25th January 2023, together with the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order, the map schedule and map schedule legend indicating the location and the effect may be examined at the Central Library, Clements Road, llford, IG1 1EA between 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays) and 10am to 5pm Saturday. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
