PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS
CONSOLIDATION NO. 1 ORDER 2015 AMENDMENT NO. 1 ORDER 2022
The Council on 13 January made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 and 34 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 26 January 2023 and is to introduce
To introduce 'No Waiting At Any Time' restrictions on:
a. the western side of Carr Avenue, Brandon from existing restrictions at a point adjacent to Number 1 Lowland Road, for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction.
b. the northern side of the junction from the A690 into Grove Terrace, Langley Park to Park View Terrace, from a point on the A690 6 metres south of the boundary between Numbers 1 and 2 Grove Terrace, for a distance of 10 metres in a south/south-easterly direction.
c the southern side of the junction from the A690 into Grove Terrace, Langley Park to Park View Terrace, from a point on the A690 3 metres north of the boundary between Numbers 3 and 4 Grove Terrace, for a distance of 10 metres in a north/ north-easterly direction.
d. the northern side of the junction from the A690 into Grove Terrace, Langley Moor to Farewell View, from a point on the A690 2.5 metres south of the boundary between Numbers 13 and 14 Grove Terrace, for a distance of 10.5 metres in a south/southeasterly direction.
e. the southern side of the junction from the A690 into Grove Terrace, Langley Moor to Farewell View, from a point on the A690 2.5 metres north of the boundary between Numbers 15 and 16 Grove Terrace, for a distance of 12 metres in a north/north-easterly direction.
f. the northern side of High Street South Back, Langley Moor starting from a point adjacent to Number 11 High Street South, for a distance of 23.5 metres in an easterly direction.
g. the southern side of High Street South Back, Langley Noor from a point 17.5 metres east of its junction with the A690, High Street, for a distance of 8.5 metres in an easterly then southerly direction.
h. the eastern side of the A690, High Street, Langley Moor from the boundary between Numbers 15 and 16 High Street South, for a distance of 26 metres in a northerly direction.
i. the northern side of the junction from the A690, High Street, Langley Moor into High Street South Back, from the boundary between Numbers 94 and 95 High Street South, for a distance of 12 metres in a south/south-easterly direction.
j. the southern side of the junction from the A690, High Street, Langley Moor into High Street South Back, from the boundary between Numbers 96 and 97 High Street South, for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly then easterly direction.
k. the northern side of Sawmill Lane, Brandon 15 metres south-east of its junction with Moor Edge from a point opposite to Number 2 Moor Edge, for a distance of 12.5 metres in a southerly direction.
To introduce 'Restricted Waiting. Monday - Friday. 8am-6pm' restrictions on:
a. the southern side of the junction from Goatbeck Terrace, Langley Moor onto the A690, High Street, from the boundary between Numbers 17 and 18 Goatbeck Terrace, for a distance of 26.5 metres in a north/north-westerly direction.
b. the northern side of the junction from Goatbeck Terrace, Langley Moor onto the A690, High Street, from a point 1.5 metres west of the boundary between Numbers 138 and 139 High Street, for a distance of 7.5 metres in a southerly then westerly direction.
To introduce 'Restricted Waiting and Loading/Unloading. Monday-Friday. 8am-6pm' restrictions on:
The eastern side of the A690, High Street, Langley Moor from a point 4.5 metres north of the boundary between Number 5 and 6 Goatbeck Terrace, for a distance of 34 metres in a north-easterly direction.
All other restrictions locally remain the same.
Full details are contained in the Order via the Council website and at Brandon Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 19 January 2023 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
