The County Council of Durham (C75 Shittlehopeburn, Stanhope) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023

The Council on 11/1/23 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 105 metre length of C75 Shittlehopeburn between the access to Riverwood Lodges and the caravan park, Stanhope to enable telecom pole renewal works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the northern side of the closure from C75 north onto A689 then east to Frosterley and turning south onto C76 Mellbutts Bank then westerly onto C75 leading to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 17/1/23 from 8am to 6pm daily and are anticipated to be completed in 2 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
