(Station Road, Eddleston)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Station Road, Eddleston) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:01 on 16 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 29 January 2023 - 24 hour closure and restriction. The Order is required for bridge works.

When the Order comes into effect, in Eddleston, no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permitto be driven any vehicle along Station Road at Eddleston Bridge; and
(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on Old Manse Road from the A703 to Eddleston Bridge.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Station Road, Old Manse Road and the A703to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing

(B712 West Lodge, South Of Broughton)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (B712 West Lodge, South of Broughton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 16 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 20 January 2023 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permitto be driven any vehicle along the B712 at West Lodge, south of Broughton. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A701, A72 and B712 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. (Various Roads, Peebles)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 16 January 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 30 April 2023 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required to permit repairs to be carried out to Peebles Swimming Pool.

When the Order comes into effect:
(a) no person shall drive or cause or permitto be driven any vehicle along:
|i) Swimming Pool Brae, Peebles from the Swimming Pool to Tweed Bridge;
|ii) Old Town Vennel - from Greensidetothe Swimming Pool Car Park; and
(b) no person shall drive or cause or permitto be driven any vehicle, or permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked in the Swimming Pool Car Park.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Tweed Bridge, Cuddy Bridge, Greenside and Old Town Vennel.

The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The Scottish Borders Council
(Various Streets) (20,30 & 40 Mph Speed Limit) Orders 2023

The Scottish Borders Council on 10 January 2023 in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 84(1), 84(1 A) and 84(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act made the above Orders.
The Orders will come into operation on 16 January 2023.

The effect of the Orders will be to introduce permanent 20,30 and 40 mph Speed Limits in various lengths of roads in the Scottish Borders area.

Copies of the Orders as made, with relevant maps, may be inspected at Traffic and Road Safety, Network, Environment and Infrastructure, The Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells, from Monday to Thursday between 9.00 am and 5:00pm, at The Scottish Borders Council's Contact and Library Contact Centres during normal working hours, from 12 January 2023 until 17 February 2023 inclusive and also on the Council's website at 20MPH - Route to Permanence 2022 or https://scottishborders.moderngov.co.uk/ecCatDisplay.aspx?sch=doc&cat=13381
