Cheshire West And Chester Borough Council Traffic Regulation Order

(B5130 Aldford Road/Chester Road, Chester) (40mph And 50mph Speed Limits) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that on 10 January 2023 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will come into operation on 13 January 2023. The effect of the Order will be to:

1. Introduce a 40mph speed limit on B5130 Aldford Road/ Chester Road from a point 140 metres south of its junction with Chester Lane for a distance of 515 metres in a southerly direction.

2. Introduce a 50mph speed limit on B5130 Aldford Road/ Chester Road from a point 655 metres south of its junction with Chester Lane to a point 190 metres north of its junction with The Hill.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision therein on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from 10 January 2023 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
