The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Chesham Primary School, Talbot Grove, Bury And Guardian Angels Primary School, Bury) (School Streets, Bury) (Prohibition Of Driving) Experimental Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council has made the above named Order on 13 December 2022 under sections 1,2,9 & 10 and Part in of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council has made the above named Order on 13 December 2022 under sections 1,2,9 & 10 and Part  of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to restrict vehicles (except for cyclists) from the roads surrounding Chesham School between the hours of 8:15 - 9:00 and 15:00 -15:45 and Guardian Angels School, 8:00 - 8:45 and 14:15 - 15:30 Monday to Friday when temporary road signage is in place, unless the driver is in possession of an authorised School Street Permit. The order is made on an experimental basis for a period up to 18 months to promote safer and calmer streets at school times by making these streets pedestrian and cycle zones.

A copy of the Order (including the exemptions contained within them) with plans showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order. Copies of these may be requested by email at TROobjectionsOburv.

The documents will also be on deposit at the reception desk at the Town Hall Bury, BL9 0SW during office hours. The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person wishing to object to such indefinite continuation of the provisions may within 6 months of 16 January 2023 (or if this Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Act, 6 months from the on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force) object in writing stating the grounds on which that objection is being made. Objections should be sent to the Head of Engineering, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke St Bury BL9 0EJ or preferably by email to TROobjections@bury.

Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the experimental Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose. Metropolitan Borough Of Bury Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Rowlands Road, Summerseat, Bury) Temporary Closure Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along :-

Rowlands Rd, Summerseat, Bury - from a point 115 m east of the easterly kerbline of
Ashborne Dr for a distance of 100m in a south-easterly direction
The reason for the proposed order is to locate & rebuild chambers.
The alternative route will be via Bass Lane and Walmersley Rd and vice-versa.
The Order comes into operation on Sunday 15 January 2023 and shall remain in force
for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 1 day.
