Richmond, Temporary Road Closure and a definitive map modification

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Bridge Street and Sleegill, Order 2023, No.16.

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Bridge Street & Sleegill, Richmond for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 16/01/2023 & 31/03/23, due to works. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.

Notice of the making of a Definitive Map Modification Order,
North Yorkshire County Council,
Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981,
Public Bridleway No. 20.57/51 High Applegarth To Deepdale, Richmond Parish Modification Order 2022.

The above Order, made on 16 December 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a section of Public Bridleway from Grid Reference NZ 1282 0187 to NZ 1318 0173, Deepdale to High Applegarth, Richmond Parish.
A copy of the order as made and the Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, DL7 8AH, North Yorkshire until 24/2/23.

Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from Travel, Environmental & Countryside Services, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD (tel: 01609 532512) at a cost of £2.00, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Sarah Blakemore, Public Rights of Way, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD, no later than 24/2/23 stating the grounds on which it is made. Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain.

Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Yorkshire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State or part of it if the Authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 may itself confirm the Order or that part of the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
