Within seven days of applying for a licence a notice notifying the public of the application must be published in a local newspaper which circulates in the locality in which the premises are situated and which is on sale at local newsagents.

Anyone wishing to oppose the application must give notice in writing to David Tolley, Head of Environmental Health and Trading Standards, John Onslow House, 1 Ewart Place, London E3 5EQ WITHIN THREE WEEKS specifying the grounds of opposition.
