NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972 Section 122(2A), the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Lewisham intend to appropriate the 3 parcel[s] of land located at Valentine Court, Perry Vale, Lewisham, SE23 which forms part of open space and is shown coloured yellow on the plans ref: Block A -Existing Site Plan, Block B - Existing Site Plan and Block C/D Existing Site Plan, for planning purposes. The Land measures approximately 2,135 sqm (comprising of Block A 565sqm, Block B 440 sqm, Blocks C and D 1,130sqm). The planning purposes are for the erection of 41 new homes, new landscaping and play area pursuant to the planning permission granted under reference DC/22/127024.

Requirements for the appropriation of land by local authorities are contained in Section 122 of the Local Government Act 1972. Sub section 2(2A) of that Act requires notice of any proposal to appropriate land consisting of an open space to be published in a local newspaper for two consecutive weeks so that any person wishing to raise an objection to the appropriation may do so.
