London Borough of Newham Notice of Intent

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) &15(2) Church Road, Manor Park, E12 (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order, 2023

1. The NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, hereby gives notice that It Intends to make an Order - Church Road, Manor Park, E12, (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2023. The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

2. The Order will be made to enable Higgins Partnerships and it contractors to carry out building works, on or near the highway on various roads listed in schedule 1 below.

3. The prohibition applies from Monday 30th January 2023 until Sunday 23rd December 2025 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.

4. The general effect of which will be No person shall enter or cause to enter the roads listed in schedule 1 below, at such times as appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

5. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be prohibited when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

6. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via local adjacent roads, one way streets where necessary, may be reversed or revert to two - way working, road closures and parking prohibitions will apply when the appropriate signs are displayed.

7. This Order will not apply to vehicles used by the Emergency Services, or in connection with the works, provided that the road space is available.
