Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru yn rhoi hysbysiad ei fod yn bwriadu gwneud gwaith i wella'r amddiffynfeydd llifogydd ar Afon Wysg yng Nghaerllion, Casnewydd ar Ffordd Caerllion - B4596 rhwng NGR ST3417190147 a NGR ST34184 90147, sef pellter o 0.014 cilometr. Bydd y gwaith gwella arfaethedig yn cynnwys y canlynol: Gosod rhwystr llifogydd newydd dros dro (sylfeini concrit sy'n cynnal padiau dur) i groesi'r ffordd yn y lleoliad uchod.

Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru o'r farn nad yw'r gwaith gwella yn debygol o gael effaith sylweddol ar yr amgylchedd ac nid yw'n bwriadu paratoi datganiad amgylcheddol cysylltiedig ag ef. Er nad oes datganiad amgylcheddol yn cael ei gynnig mae'r cynllun wedi ystyried ffactorau amgylcheddol sy'n gysylltiedig a'r safle a gwelliannau amgylcheddol He bo hynny'n ymarferol.

Dylai unrhyw berson sy'n dymuno cyflwyno sylwadau mewn perthynas ag effeithiau amgylcheddol tebygol y gwaith gwella arfaethedig anfon cais ysgrifenedig i'r cyfeiriad a nodir isod, o fewn 30 diwrnod i ddyddiad cyhoeddi'r hysbysiad hwn.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT.
Regulation 12B of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) SI1999/1783 as amended
Caerleon Flood Gate

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on the River Usk in Caerleon, Newport on Caerleon Road - B4596 between NGR ST3417190147 and NGR ST34184 90147, a distance of 0.014 kilometres. The proposed improvement works will involve the following: Installation of a new demountable flood barrier (concrete foundations supporting steel pads) to cross the road in the above location.
Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. Although an environmental statement is not proposed the scheme design has considered environmental factors associated with the site and incorporated environmental improvements where feasible.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
