Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U92624, Woodhouse Lane, Richards Castle, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U92624, Woodhouse Lane, Richards Castle, from the junction with Castle Road to the junction of Cullis Pitch from Woodhouse Lane. Grid Ref: 348799 / 270051. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Cullis Pitchfrom Woodhouse Lane onto Portway Lane onto the B4361 onto Castle Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to rural fibre installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 6th February 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
