DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 227 The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.1) Order 2023
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.1) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 03 January 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 150 Court Wood Lane, Croydon, No. 136 Frant Road, Thornton Heath, No. 134 Harrington Road, South Norwood, No. 27 King's Walk, South Croydon (two bays), Nos. 197-119 Marston Way, Upper Norwood, No. 18 Portland Mansion, Portland Road, South Norwood, No. 16 Queen Elizabeth's Gardens, Croydon, No. 47 Queenswood Avenue, Thornton Heath and No. 28 Spring Lane, South Norwood.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
c) The existing double yellow line waiting restriction on the southeastern (even-numbered) side of Oval Road at its junction with Cherry Orchard Road will be extended by 60 metres to the north-eastern boundary of No. 70 Oval Road.
d) Cherry Orchard Road and Oval Road will be fully or partially closed as necessary to facilitate the works, as indicated by traffic signs displayed at least two weeks before any closure is implemented.
3. Whilst closures are in force, the alternative route for traffic will be via the A232, Shirley Road and Lower Addiscombe Road and vice versa. Vehicles under 18t may alternatively use St James's Road, Wellesley Road and the A232.
4. The Order will come into operation on 19 January 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the end of November 2023. However, the order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be necessary.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate repair works to a water service pipe, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Ardfern Avenue and Ederline Avenue, Norbury.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place
a) Ederline Avenue will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 25 and 27 and Nos. 31 and 33 Ederline Avenue, at the junction with Ardfern Avenue.
b) Ardfern Avenue will be closed between its junction with Ederline Avenue and a point opposite the north-western boundary of No. 30 Ederline Avenue.
3. During the closure the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as shown below.
> Via London Road, Melrose Avenue and Dunbar Avenue.
? Via London Road, Craignish Avenue and Dunbar Avenue.
? Via Ardfern Avenue, Melrose Avenue and London Road.
? Via Ardfern Avenue, Melrose Avenue and Dunbar Avenue.
? Via Dunbar Avenue, Craignish Avenue and London Road.
? Via Dunbar Avenue, Melrose Avenue and London Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 23 January 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH 823 (SUBWAY BETWEEN ADDISCOMBE ROAD AND ALTYRE ROAD. CROYDON)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate cleaning and maintenance works, they intend to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian movements on Footpath No. 823, the subway between Addiscombe Road and Altyre Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place no person shall proceed along Public Footpath No.823.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians will be via Addiscombe Road and Altyre Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 20 January 2023 and will remain in force for 6 months.
5. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anyone carrying out the said works, or to anything done for police, ambulance, or fire brigade purposes or with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

GALPIN'S ROAD. THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main remediation works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Galpin's Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Galpin's Road will be closed outside Nos. 42 to 52 Galpins Road, and between the common boundary of Nos. 112 and 114 Galpins Road and its junction with South Lodge Avenue.
3. During the closure the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
? Via Galpins Road, South Lodge Avenue, Wide Way, Northborough Road and London Road.
? Via London Road, Thornton Heath Pond Roundabout, London Road, Northborough Road, Wide Way, South Lodge Avenue and Galpins Road.
? For the properties in between the two closures: via Galpins Road, Lonsdale Gardens, Wharfedale Gardens, London Road, Northborough Road, Wide Way, South Lodge Avenue and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 19 January 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 February 2023 (for the closure from No. 114 Galpins Road to South Lodge Road) and by 03 March 2023 (for the closure outside Nos. 42 to 52 Galpins Road). However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. The restrictions will not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

MULGRAVE ROAD. CROYDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a new water service connection, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Mulgrave Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Mulgrave Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junction with Park Lane and the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 1 a Mulgrave Road.
b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply within the parking bays outside Nos. 1a and 2a Mulgrave Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Chatsworth Road, Park Lane, Woodstock Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 23 January 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 30 January 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(b) any vehicle being used to carry out the said works.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the final phase of construction works to the Morello II development, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Cherry Orchard Road and Oval Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) The western footway of Cherry Orchard Road will be closed between its junctions with Oval Road and Billinton Hill.
b) Parking bays and taxi ranks in Cherry Orchard Road between its junctions with Oval Road and Billinton Hill will be suspended and replaced by waiting restrictions operating "at any time'.
