(City Of Oxford) (Jericho) (Parking Places And Controlled Parking Zone) (Variation No.27) Order 2022

NOTICE is given that on 19 December 2022 County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, which comes into force on 30 December is to make permanent the provisions of a current Temporary Traffic Regulation Order made under the Traffic Orders Procedure (Coronavirus) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2020 which suspends waiting, parking and loading at the following two locations. This is to facilitate the the continued safe use in part of the road, of tables and chairs by the adjacent retail hospitality businesses. Walton Street - northeast side - (i) from a point 90 metres southeast of the south-eastern kerb line of St Bernards Road south-eastwards for a distance of 16 metres (in place of existing 1 hour parking places - permit holders exempt); (ii) from a point 30 metres southeast of the south-eastern kerb line of Observatory Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 7 metres (in place of existing 1 hour parking places)
The Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2000 is further amended as necessary. Documents giving more details of the order are available for public inspection online by visiting

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 19 December 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
