DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA

PARISH OF HELSINGTON:DISTRICT OF SOUTH LAKELAND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER (NO 3) 2022
On 20 December 2022 the above named Order was confirmed, as an unopposed Order, by Cumbria County Council.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to modify the definitive map for the area by adding a public footpath from GR 350323 490784 at its junction with FP 530027 east - north east wards for about 58 metres to GR 350379 490797 then east - south east wards through the Underpass for about 31 metres to GR 350410 490792 continuing for a further 43 metres to join FP 530032 at GR 350450 490779. The width of the path will vary between 2.4 and 3.3 metres.
A copy of the Order and map may be inspected free of charge at Kendal Library Stricklandgate, Kendal LA9 4PY and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ by appointment only (ref 5.2.376). Details of the Order are available to view on the County Council's website and copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of £2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet from the undersigned.

The Order come into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within 6 weeks from 29 December 2022 make an application to the High Court.
