The Council has made The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No. 19, Stewkley) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 19, Stewkley from Cricketers Close to junction with Public Footpath No. 20). The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to eroding sloping path surface. Alternative route is via Public Footpath No 20, starting off Ivy Lane. The Order will come into operation on 24 December 2022 as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Hulcott Lane, Bierton in the Parish of Hulcott CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Hulcott Lane for approximately 490m. Alternative route: Aylesbury Road, Hulcott, Hulcott Lane and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water mains replacement works take place commencing on 9 January 2023. Road will remain closed for the duration of the works. Access to the golf club via Cane End Lane. The Buckinghamshire County Council (Upgrade of Public Footpath No.14 to Public Bridleway, Parish of Hedgerley) Definitive Map Modification Order 2020 made on 20 January 2020, under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 was confirmed by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on 27 September 2022. The effect of the Order, as confirmed with modification, is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by upgrading to a public bridleway the public footpath no.14 (part) parish of Hedgerley running from point A shown on the plan attached to the Order at SU9811-8730 SE for 459m to point B at SU9852-8710, as shown by a bold black broken line on the plan attached to the Order and having a width of 1.2m. . The Order became operative on 27 September 2022 and if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity of the Order on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule
15 of the Act have not been complied with in relation to it, he or she may, within six weeks from 23 December 2022, make an application to the High Court under paragraph 12 of the said Schedule 15.
