Eastcroft Road (D2136) West Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

On 21 December 2022 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eastcroft Road (D2136) West Ewell which extends from its junction with (D2287) Meadow View Road to its junction with (D2393) Station Avenue. Alternative Route- Eastcroft Road, Station Avenue, (B2200) Chessington Road and Green Lanes or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate lead replacement works by or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be completed over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm within the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 January 2023 for a period of 12 months. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the works area for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Manor Drive (D2279) Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2022

On 21 December 2022 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Manor Drive (D2279) Ewell which extends from its junction in line with the eastern common property boundary of No.1 Manor Drive to its junction with Preston Drive. Alternative Route- Manor Drive, Courtlands Drive, Bradford Drive and Preston Drive or this route in reverse; and (b) suspend "The Surrey County Council D2279 Manor Drive, Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a). This Order is required to facilitate lead replacement works by or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be completed over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 January 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the narrow width of the carriageway, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
