The County Council of Durham (C127 Folly Hill, Tanfield) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
The Council on 16/12/2022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 210 metre length of the C127 Folly Hill through Tanfield between Old Rectory Close junction to Barcusclose Lane junction to enable highway drainage works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the southern side of the closure from Tanfield south westerly to Tantobie crossroads then north westerly to A692 and north easterly to the junction with Barcusclose Lane leading south easterly to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 9/1/2023 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
