THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (PELTON, PERKINSVILLE AND OUSTON) (PARKING& WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION NO. 1) ORDER 2014 (AMENDMENT No. 1) ORDER 2022 The Council on 16 December 2022 made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 2 January 2022 and is To introduce 'No Waiting At Any Time' restrictions on: a. the north side of Twizell Lane, West Pelton from a point adjacent to Number 14 in a north-easterly direction for 13 metres b. the southern side of Pelton Lane, Grange Villa from a point adjacent to Number 2 in a south-westerly direction to C5 Newbridge Banks for 49 metres c. the northern side of Pelton Lane, Grange Villa from a point 11 metres north of the junction to C5 Newbridge Banks in a south-easterly direction for 37 metres d. both sides of the service entrance of Pelton Community Primary School on Pelton Lane for 14 metres in a north-westerly direction on the northern side and 14 metres in a south-easterly direction on the southern side e. both sides of the junction of Stony Lane, Beamish to C84 Station Road, from a point adjacent to Number 4 in a northerly direction for 15 metres and from a point 9 metres north of junction in a southeasterly direction for 22.5 metres.To introduce 'No Waiting and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time' restrictions on: The eastern side of Pelton Lane, Pelton from a point 28 metres south of Pelton Community Primary School entrance in a southerly direction for 9.5 metres. To Introduce 'No stopping (Monday to Friday 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm) on entrance markings' restrictions on: The western side of Pelton Lane, Pelton from the existing 'no stopping on entrance markings' restrictions in a north-easterly direction for 31 metres. To amend the existing 'No Waiting At Any Time' restriction to 'No Waiting and No loading/ Unloading At Any Time' on: The northern side of Front Street, Pelton from a point adjacent to Number 31 in a north-easterly direction to Sandyford for 45 metres. To amend the existing 'No stopping (Monday to Friday 8am-6pm) on entrance markings restrictions to 'No stopping (Monday to Friday, 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm) on entrance Markings on: a. the eastern side of Pelton Lane, Pelton from a point 15 metres east of Front Street to Pelton Lane junction in a south-easterly direction for 45 metres b. On the western side of Pelton Lane from a point adjacent to Number 2 in a north-easterly direction for 44 metres. All other restrictions in this locality will remain unchanged. Full details are contained in the Order, a copy of which may be inspected at Pelton Library during normal opening hours and via the Council website. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 22 December 2022 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
