The County Council of Durham (Stone Row, Grange Villa) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 30 metres of Stone Row between numbers 37 and 38 that extends eastward from its junction with C84 Newbridge Bank, Grange Villa to enable new electricity supply connection works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the western side of the closure from C84 south to the crossroads then east onto C5 Front Street Pelton Lane then north onto Queen Street leading to Pine Street to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 16/1/23 and are anticipated to be completed In 2 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
