SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
(WOODFIELD ROAD, LEIGH-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, PARKING, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) ORDER 2022 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea City Counci has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:
1. Proceeding on Woodfield Road from its junction with Somerville Gardens to its junction with Grand Parade.
2. Parking, waiting, loading & unloading on Woodfield Road from its junction with Somerville Gardens to its junction with Grand Parade, on both sides.
This will be completed in phases.
The closure & suspensions are scheduled to commence from the 30th of January 2023 until the 10th of February 2023, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The Order will come into effect on the 30th of January 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The alternative route will be via Cliff Gardens, Beach Avenue, Leigh Road & vice versa.
The closure & suspensions are required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst the installation of fibre ducts take place.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition mposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004
