PARISH OF PRESTON PATRICK PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2021
On 16 December 2022 South Lakeland District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990.
The Order, as confirmed, will divert the entire width of that section of public footpath no 564024 situate at Sillfield Farm, Gatebeck in the parish of Preston Patrick from GR 355658 485415 eastwards for about 57 metres to GR 355715 485416; to run from GR 355658 485415 northeastwards eastwards and east-southeastwards for about 62 metres to GR 355715 485416.
The width of the new path will be 3 metres.
A copy of the confirmed Order and map may be inspected free of charge at Kendal Library, Stricklandgate, Kendal LA9 4PY and at the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ quoting ref (ref 5.1.477). Details of the Order are also available to view on the County Council's website and copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of £2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet from the undersigned. The order comes into force immediately, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town & Country Planning Act, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under Section 287 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, within 6 weeks from 22 December 2022 as required by paragraph 7 of the Schedule 14 to that Act.
